Dr. Carmen Castilla, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical and cosmetic dermatology, with over a decade of experience caring for patients in New York City. She is known for her thoughtful, individualized approach to skin health, combining evidence-based medicine with the latest advances in dermatologic treatments. Education and Training
Dr. Castilla graduated from New York University, where she majored in photography and minored in psychology. She earned her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where she was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) medical honor society. She completed her internship in internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School, followed by her dermatology residency at New York University.
Academic Leadership
Dr. Castilla serves as a Clinical Instructor of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she is actively involved in resident education. She also participates in clinical trials investigating emerging treatments and innovative approaches to skin health and aging. Her commitment to research and education allows her to incorporate the latest scientific developments into her clinical practice.

Outside the Office
After spending much of her career practicing in Manhattan, Dr. Castilla recently moved to Westchester with her husband and two daughters. Outside of medicine, she enjoys photography, traveling, and spending time with her family.
