Practice Highlights: Patient Survey Demonstrates Satisfaction With Treiber Dermatology Associates

A recent patient satisfaction survey conducted by Treiber Dermatology Associates showed that 94% of patients reported that they were “satisfied” or “highly satisfied” with access to care, and 97% were just as happy with their office experience. The practice’s leadership chalks up these high numbers to their intentional investment in building patient relationships.

“We value our decades-long doctor-patient relationships,” said Dr. Eric Treiber, “and we are pleased that our patients value us too, as reflected in our outstanding survey results.”

Dr. Ruth Treiber, fresh off completing her dermatology residency at Columbia, set up a fledgling private office in Rye, N.Y in 1983. The practice grew over the years, adding her husband Dr. Eric Treiber in 1994, and Dr. Danielle Engler, another Columbia-trained colleague and friend, in 1999.

Today, the bustling practice, which provides general and surgical dermatology services for patients of all ages, includes a medical aesthetician and a dozen employees.

“Our aim is, even in today’s very challenging medical environment, to continue to provide outstanding personalized and attentive medical care,” Dr. Treiber said. “We enjoy the fulfillment in successfully caring for our patients and running an efficient yet patient-centered practice.”

Being an independent practice is still a viable option, he said. Working together with an organization such as CAP has been beneficial to all involved, including the community.

“We are fortunate as Columbia-affiliated doctors to have an outstanding network of colleagues that we can refer patients to for environmental contact allergy, advanced pediatric dermatology, and challenging cutaneous malignancies,” Dr. Treiber said.
