History of the Practice
Treiber Dermatology was founded by Dr. Ruth Treiber, a board-certified dermatologist and Westchester native, over 30 years ago. Her husband, Dr. Eric Treiber, practiced general internal medicine for ten years before deciding to complete a second residency in dermatology. He has been practicing medical dermatology along her side ever since. Dr. Leah Ansell joined the Treiber dermatology team in 2021, having trained under the Treibers during her Dermatology Residency at Columbia. Dr. Margot Chima and Dr. John Nia joined the team soon after, helping to create an exceptional, comprehensive team of dermatologists.
Our Practice Philosophy

  • Our philosophy is simple- we treat you like we would our own family members. We pride ourselves on providing personalized, compassionate, holistic care to our patients. We enjoy being dermatologists to our community and treating the entire family.
  • In the age of corporatized medicine, we have held tightly to our private practice model. At our office, you will never interact with a call center. Instead, you will be greeted by our receptionists and staff members, many who have been with our practice for 10+ years.
  • Our team of hand-selected, well-trained dermatologists provides the most comprehensive dermatologic care, in a boutique, private setting, providing top level medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatologic care.
