Restore Radiance and Even Skin Tone

Fraxel 1927 is a fractional non-ablative laser designed to target pigmentation, sun damage, and signs of aging. Unlike the deeper-penetrating Fraxel 1550, the 1927 wavelength works in the more superficial layers of the skin, making it ideal for sun spots, discoloration, and overall tone improvement. Studies have shown it is also very effective at reducing actinic damage, pre-cancerous growths and skin cancer.

What Is Fraxel 1927?

Fraxel 1927 delivers precise microscopic columns of laser energy to the upper layers of the skin, gently resurfacing damaged skin and promoting the growth of fresh, healthy cells. This treatment helps to reduce brown spots, improve uneven pigmentation, minimize fine lines, and enhance overall skin radiance.

It is often referred to as a “laser peel” because it effectively refreshes the skin’s surface while stimulating collagen for smoother, more luminous skin over time.

Who Is a Candidate?

Fraxel 1927 is ideal for patients seeking:

  • Reduction of sun spots, age spots, or uneven pigmentation
  • Smoother texture and refined pores
  • Brighter, more even skin tone
  • Treatment of sun damage on the face, neck, chest, and hands

What to Expect

Topical numbing is applied for 1 hour prior to treatment. The procedure takes ~20–30 minutes. Afterward, patients will experience redness and dark brown flaky-peeling for 3-7 days. Makeup can typically be worn after 2–3 days.

Results appear progressively over the following weeks as the skin renews itself, revealing a brighter, clearer, and more even complexion.

Most patients will need 2-3 treatments spaced 1 month apart; with progressive improvements with each treatment. Many patients will get maintenance treatment once a year.
