IPL is a non-invasive treatment, similar to a laser, that uses broad-spectrum light to target sunspots, pigmentation, broken capillaries, and redness to improve skin tone and radiance. It’s a great reset to improve sun damage and has minimal to no downtime.
What Is IPL?
IPL uses broad-spectrum light to target pigment and vascular irregularities, stimulating skin renewal and improving overall tone and clarity. It is most commonly performed on the face but can also be performed on tops of hands, neck and chest.
Who Is a Candidate?
IPL is ideal for patients who have a fair complexion and want to:
- Improve sun damage and brown spots
- Minimize redness and broken capillaries
- Improve rosacea and diffuse redness
- Improve skin clarity and glow
What to Expect
Treatment takes approximately 20 minutes with a sensation similar to tiny snaps of a rubber band. Mild redness or temporary darkening of sunspots may occur, but downtime is minimal. Three to five sessions are advised for optimal results. You cannot be treated if your skin is tan so strict sun protection is advised before and after your treatments.

My appointment with Dr. Treiber went very well. She was polite and very knowledgeable, both myself and my son had appointments. She was amazing in dealing with his eczema and prescribed him something that finally made him stop scratching! Much appreciated!
