Leah Ansell, MD, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist with expertise in cosmetic, medical and surgical dermatology and a focus on providing care for the entire family. After living and working in Manhattan, she has relocated to lower Westchester with her husband and three young children.
Dr. Ansell, a third generation physician, grew up in the Chicago-area and graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College. She earned her medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honors society for top graduating medical students. She was also awarded the Phi Rho Sigma Prize for highest overall standing and best performance in medical school.
Dr. Ansell completed her Internship in Internal Medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, followed by Dermatology Residency at Columbia University New York Presbyterian Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident. She has participated in many medical mission trips over the years and has traveled to Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Rwanda to provide medical care.
Dr. Ansell has been practicing on the Upper East Side of Manhattan with Dr. Ellen Gendler. She is excited to practice closer to her new home, providing comprehensive care for the entire family. She has extensive experience and expertise with cosmetics and helps patients achieve a natural, refreshed look. She performs neuromodulator injections (Botox), filler injections (Juvederm, Voluma, Restylane, etc), lasers including Clear+Brilliant, Fraxel, V-beam, IPL, platelet-rich-plasma (PRP) for hair rejuvenation, microneedling, and chemical peels.
Dr. Ansell is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Columbia, where she teaches cosmetic techniques to the dermatology residents. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgeons (ASDS), American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), and Women’s Dermatologic Society (WDS).
When not seeing patients, Dr. Ansell can be found making new recipes, running, reading her Kindle, or chasing after her three young children.
